Set during the aftermath of a zombie outbreak on the East Coast, the game puts its four protagonists-dubbed the "Survivors"-against hordes of the infected. The digital retail disc version was released in North America and Australia on November 18, 2008, and in Europe on November 21, 2008. Development on the game was completed on November 13, 2008, and two versions were released digitally: A downloadable digital version, released on November 17, 2008, and a digital retail disc version, with a release date determined by region. The game uses Valve's proprietary Source engine, and is available for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X. Visuals look cheap often, but that's how it should be.Īnd there are lots of other 'regular' quality campaigns like Diescraper, Urban Flight, Back to School, Detour Ahead and Death Aboard 2 to name just a few.Left 4 Dead is a 2008 multiplayer survival horror game developed by Valve South and published by Valve. Feels like a very cheap horror movie, think Ed Wood. Haunted Forest - If you like silly fun try this. Gameplay is solid and includes a water ride, so worth playing even if you haven't been to Disneyland yet. I've never been there, but people who were claim that this brings their childhood back to life.among other things. Journey to Splash Mountain - A (as I heard) faithful recreation of Disneyland. Very well executed with some nice scripted sequences. It feels very much like 'we did something the game was never designed for', but it's fun nevertheless.ĭead Series - Nothing that stands out, but imo one of the best 'regular' campaigns. Sounds silly, is silly, and is a lot of fun. You research weapons and other equipment while you try to build a rocket to escape from the respawning zombie hordes. Let's Build a Rocket - Basically a new gameplay mode. Definitely worth playing, it's a different L4D experience.

Reminds me a bit of Portal or Cube (the movie). Questionable Ethics & Questionable Ethics: Alpha Test - Visually not that impressive, but fun gameplay with puzzle elements.

If you like Japanese architecture and atmosphere and always wanted to play L4D in that environment then you just have to play this. Probably my favorite map in terms of visuals. Yama - A campaign that takes place in Japan. I only play campaigns (Versus 'community' is probably the most hateful crowd of people I've ever seen on the Internet), here are some good ones:
