Every class is proficient in their own field and has to work in a team in order to succeed in the game. The game features a class-based mechanics. For example, one of the players has to weld the door while the others cover them.
The player's squad has to reach the end of the level while completing objectives, that require teamwork. The game's core mechanics are not much different from the base game. While only four-player squads were present in the base game, the limit was brought up to eight for the expansion pack. GameplayĪlien Swarm: Reactive Drop is a cooperative top-down shooter. A super elite squad was sent to deal with this problem. It got overrun by aliens who were brought to the planet for research. One planet was classified by the government for establishing a secret research base. In distant future, the interplanetary travel was finally made possible. So for them to follow you, you should press the V key on your keyboard to give them the move command (by default).Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop is a standalone expansion pack to Alien Swarm developed by Valve. To use them, press the corresponding invertory key (1, 2, 3 or 4) while holding Shift. Some extra options for offhand items might show up while holding the crouch key (Shift by default). Other needed commands should be given by pressing the action key (E) on hackable terminals and invertory keys 1, 2, 3, and 4 for bots to do something associated with their invertory (for example to command the medic to place the healing beacon, to weld. Or a "STOP" sign for them to hold position. You have to give them a "GO" sign for them to start moving.
You can see this by looking on your minimap (the red lines between the leader and the bots). I have to control them to do anything more than just firing. EDIT: The accepted answer works, but the bots don't do anything more than firing (no healing, no welding, nothing).
